Video transcript: Hey, Chris and the team. Thanks for giving the course. The course definitely helped me build my confidence in building the app, and I'll definitely recommend the course to my friends, whoever wants to learn app development. What else? What I liked about the course is like, it was easy steps to follow, most of it. So everything was like baby steps, and every step was explained thoroughly, so it helped a lot.

Video transcript: Hey, my name is Paul. I just took the iOS foundation class with code with Chris, and I'm basically doing this as a hobby. Just wanted to learn, you know, everybody. I've been a Mac guy all my life, had all the Mac products, and I do it networking for my real job. So I just decided that I wanted to learn programming. Always been intrigued by it. Love math and puzzles. So I figured, well, this would be a challenge, so let's try to figure some of this stuff out. And I've dibbled and dabbed over it over the years and just thought about kind of take it a little more seriously. So that's why I kind of got into this. And this course, in my opinion, I've taken another one that was decent, but this one here I thought was a little better, a little more resources you can use, and I think it's a great course. I would recommend it to anybody. I recommend it to my brother, and he's looked up some things. Don't know if he's signed up with Chris for a year, but I did because I was. I thought it was worthy of doing so. And I want to spend more time learning to write some apps. And my goal is to just get an app on the App Store, just one, and just see if I can get that far. So that's kind of what I'm working towards. And yeah, I recommend this class highly. I think it's really good.

Video transcript: Hi. So I'm just finishing the iOS networking course on CodeWithChris.com and I just want to say it's been a fantastic course. When I started, I just finished the iOS foundations course and it touches on API calls and things like that a little bit, but it doesn't really get into it. And when I started this course, I was really struggling with, with the challenge apps at the end, getting them to work properly, they're having issues. Same thing with the JSON parsing the data that you retrieve from the API call. I was really struggling with getting that to work. And after taking some time with it, it's a little bit more complicated than the iOS foundation stuff. It's clicked and I feel like I can work with pretty much any API no problem. I have a lot of confidence going into finding them, reading the documentation, implementing them, interacting them with queries and using URLs and things like that. I don't feel like I have any issues with that. No hiccups with that. It's all really clear to me now. So I'm ready to move on and make my own apps with my own API calls. Same thing with Source Control, Async, Await. All the other stuff that I learned in this course, I feel like I have a much better understanding of of best practices and how to be using those things in my apps.

Video transcript: Hi, Chris and the team. My name is Stephane Boutet and I just got my app, Scientific Timer, accepted to the App Store. So thank you for your course. Just to give you a bit of background, I'm a scientist, a biologist with no real or formal training in computer science or programming or coding. I know a little bit of bioinformatics to analyze genomic data, but I had no experience with SwiftUI or making a mobile app. So your course were really great for me to start from scratch and I particularly enjoyed the way all the different courses, fundamentals, Swift data networking, were put together because it's really starting from scratch and step by step it ramps you up to build your own app. What I also really enjoyed was that building an app is not just coding. There is a big part in terms of designing and the courses are giving a lot of information and tools. So you are able to do the other part, not just the coding part, but the design on finding the tools so you can build your apps. It took me nine months, almost a year, but it was totally worth it and I think I'm ready to build more, more apps. I will definitely recommend your course to my friends. Your course was already recommended to me by a friend of mine and I jump on it and start learning. Thank you so much.

So I finally decided to start with the free courses. So worldcard game and the Munu app and since these courses were really great and well explained so I decided to join the CW C membership. So I just finished the iOS foundations module. It was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed the guidebook app module and so I'm really excited to keep learning more. So thanks a lot Chris and see you in the upcoming courses.

Video transcript: I appreciate everything that Chris did into trying his best to convince people, myself included, into doing his course. My struggles were the challenges, but given that you don't have to submit anything for the challenges at the end of each module, it's really easy to learn. Chris is encouraging us to try. And even though I am aware that there are people who look at the solution right away before trying any challenge, out of fear and any anxiety, I understand how hard they're trying to learn and their struggles as well. So the challenges serve as reminder that you can do better. And it depends on whether you try your best, whether you have the capacity, the skills, and also your mind and heart as well. This course enhanced my knowledge in coding, given my experience with HTML, CSS and also all of my experience in computers. So this course from Chris is really helpful because what I like most is that Chris is showing and encouraging us who attend his course and who try out his course, even to continue to not give up, and also makes things a lot easier for us. For all of those people like me who are running to code like Chris, it's okay if sometimes you really feel confused and you really want to, like, take a break or take a pause for a while when you first see challenges and videos and then you were feeling a sense of shock and anxiety, it's okay. We're on the same boat. Just like me. I feel those things as well. So I'll recommend it to a friend who have similar experiences as me. But of course, I recommend it to lots of people who are interested in coding, whether they have the same or different experience as me. I will try my best also to show appreciation to Chris, and I'll try my best to show also others that I am really, really trying my best as well, to be on the same page and on the same boat in terms of the Swift UI and all other terminologies and topics that Chris discussed to us. And I appreciate that Chris is doing his job well and Chris is trying his best, his very best, to make coders, including me, learn his skills. Even though the last module was kind of challenging for me, which is module 4 and iOS foundations, I still see the effort Chris is trying to make. And it's normal. It's really okay if it takes very long time for you to learn about Jason JavaScript, because I feel the same way as you as well. So Chris deserves five stars because he really helped me and other people all around the world with their struggles in coding. And to Chris, thank you very much for showing initiative and showing us that you are capable of making many people scribes better and improving their jobs in the future, and I hope that I will really learn more. And to all other coders out there, I hope that you will really know who you are, how much you have learned, and as long as you are able to try your best and to also take a break sometimes.

Video transcript: Thank you Chris for this recordings. This is a really great course. I think what I struggled before I started the course is that I tried to write it myself via ChatGPT, but I wasn't able to understand how the connection between the views work. So that's why all my code was failing. Now I kind of understand how the interaction works and to be honest, when I was also doing some challenges and exercises, I found that within current year where we are 2025 with ChatGPT basically you can write the app in the friction of minutes. So this is really nice and I like a lot that during this course, and I'm being quite new to the whole area of app applications, you were introducing the basic terminologies and really paid attention to the foundation. So that helped me to have a solid, I would say ground and then I could use the terminology when I'm explaining things that I want to build with ChatGPT. So this is really important for me and that's why I actually decided to carry on and I'm now on the second course of networking. Thank you.

If you haven't watched those yet, you should check them out. They're great. Now about the database course. I was really happy to learn about the crud operation because they are what make apps more dynamic. Crutch means creating, updating, deleting, and reading data. This course was not easy for me, but I didn't get stuck as much as before. I just watched the lesson again and again until I understood. So if you get confused, just rewatch the course and you'll get it. I also learned how to design apps, which was a big step for me. It was probably the most fun part out of course. Thanks Ujixi. Your challenges were really fun. I won't spoil them. You should see for yourself. I feel like my swift skills have really leveled up. Thank you Chris for explaining everything in such a simple way. I really enjoyed the course. I totally recommended this course. It advanced, fun and challenging and it feels like a new person. After you finish it. Conor Howard
Video transcript: Hey, everyone. Conor here. So, I've just wrapped up the iOS Foundations course on code with Chris, and I want to take a few moments to share my impressions of it. Now, this is going to be a bit of a long one, so I'm going to be reading from my notes a bit here, a quick overview of my background. I'm not what you would call a typical beginner iOS developer. I did have several apps in the app store over 10 years ago, but they were written in objective C in UIKit. So I'm kind of a beginner coming into it now as everything's starting to be written with Swift and SwiftUI over those last 10 years. I did try and get back into it on several occasions, but the timing just wasn't right and I ended up kind of dropping iOS development at the time. Now, why iOS development was the thing that had to drop. Honestly, things were kind of boring for me at the time. See, other resources that was using, they had a fatal flaw that just didn't agree with me. So in the beginning, you would spend several hours, maybe over the course of a couple of weeks, depending on what my schedule was like at the time. I just spent that time writing code and getting text printed back in the console, which, you know, that is essential to learning iOS development. Learning all the fundamentals, your variables, your constant loops, functions, structs everything, everything that is essential to programming, all has to be thought. But when you start putting it all at the front like that, it just kind of kills your momentum a little bit. And that's actually where the code with Chris format actually works really well for me. So now that I've wrapped up iOS foundations, I've actually got 12 apps installed on my phone now, and each one increased in complexity starting on day one, with just a simple app that displayed some images and some text on the screen. Day two, we moved on to a more complex layout where we started to layer those different elements on top of each other. We started to arrange them better to kind of create a much nicer ui. The third app then was an interactive app where we built the War card game, which you tap a button, it it will update two playing card images on the screen. It would calculate whether your card or the computer's card was the winner and update a score down the bottom of the screen. And those really was just the tip of the iceberg for what you're going to learn in iOS foundations. So let's see what I have here. Of those 12 apps installed on my phone now, they increase complexity to include tab and drill down navigation, passing data between multiple screens. You can tap a button to open a location on Google Maps. Actually, Apple Maps and everything else increased in complexity as well, such as reading data from a JSON file that we package within our application when we ship it, which is going to be a perfect setup to the next course, which is iOS networking, where we're going to learn to take that JSON data from an external source and load it live when the app is running. So what I'm trying to say is that the Code of Chris Solution has gotten it right for me. Other courses, you learn all of the, I want to say Swift fundamentals up front, but there's a problem with that. It's not as exciting as actually building the applications and seeing them on your phone from day one, really what we're getting into this for. Secondly, as well, if you spend so much time working on all of the Swift fundamentals upfront, by the time you come to using them, when you're building your app several weeks later in those courses, you're going to need to go back and refresh your details. The Code of Chris Solution takes all of those fundamentals. It breaks them up and scatters them throughout those 12 apps that you build. So you learn about a topic when you're about to put it into use, which I find is way more effective. And really, yeah, that's. That's kind of my thoughts on it. So other resources didn't work for me, but the Code of Chris Resource, so far, everything's going good and I have very good feelings about it going into the future. And I can see myself sticking with this for a very long time. Okay, see you now.

Rumman Shahzad
Video transcript: Hi, my name is Rahman Shahzad. I'm a member of CWC, and I just finished iOS foundations. Actually, as I'm recording this, I just finished the hidden assignment and uploaded it now. So I'm gonna wait five days for it to be graded, so to speak. So I'm just gonna go through the list of questions. What was I struggling with before the course? Not really much. I will say that I've tried CWC a few years ago, but I never really stuck to it. So this course was mainly a review. But I will say that three years ago when I took this course, I was just a novice learning how to program, and currently I'm a third year student in computer science at a university, so I have a bit more better experience with programming and just ins and outs of computers in general. That said, this course this time around was a lot easier to follow through, to stick through, and I understood a lot more of what was happening and just I wouldn't like. Again, as I said, I wouldn't say that there was much struggle this time around. How did this course help? Honestly, it helped me solidify the foundations of iOS development, which was really good because iOS development is a career that I'm considering to pursue down the line. So this is like one of my explorations, if you will, of what careers I want to pursue in computer science. And honestly, I'm really enjoying this a lot. So this course helped me invigorate my interest in pursuing iOS development and even other fields of apple development in general, like those I want to explore as well. After this course. What did you like most about the course? Honestly, I think module four about the guidebook app was my favorite because I learned, like, it was the most intricate of the four modules, and I was able to really, I felt like that's where I was challenged the most. Like from the Pokemon app to the like to learning about JSON and parsing JSON. So, like, something that's not Swift or Swiftui, even the hand in assignment really put my skills to the test. I felt like I was actually learning by doing, and that helped hone in my skills, and I really like that. This course overall, and I can imagine the rest of the CWC courses as well, encourage learning by doing, practicing assignments, doing the challenges, and doing the hand in assignments, and that really helps solidify the skills, and I think that will help me become a more proficient programmer, and I would definitely recommend CWC to a friend. And honestly, my rating for this is five stars. Thank you so much for your support, and I look forward to the future courses I take with CWC.

Video transcript: Hello everyone. My name is Arseni. I work as a construction estimator in one of Canadian cities. Since I began learning Swift and Dax code in general, I have made a lot of progress. And most of this progress is due to Chris and his ability to make lessons very interesting and just short enough for me not to. To be able to understand it and at the same time to learn something new. So I'm very grateful to Chris for that. I'm looking forward to continue this course and I'm pretty excited about the final project that I have to do because I'm. I'm confident in my ability to complete it by myself. I would say the the Code with Chris course is one of the most effective course courses I have taken because I did some other courses on some other websites, but what they do, they just give you some general information that is not well thought. But Chris knows how to keep. He kind of knew how to keep me invested in Swift code by giving me the tasks that are interesting and just difficult enough to make me very enthusiastic about doing it, but not too difficult. So I feel desperate trying to complete them and feeling lost. So thank you very much Chris and I'm looking forward to continue this, my learning journey with you guys. Thank you very much.

Video transcript: Hello hi, my name is Mohammed and I'm from Malaysia and I pick this app development iOS app development as a hobby back when Chris was producing tutorials in YouTube using UIKit, you know, doing IB outlets and doing constraints and whatnot and then I left the hobby and I picked it back up back in 2023 and I was struggling to understand SwiftUI. So this course really helped me to understand SwiftUI and understand the container views and how we're going to create views, custom views and everything. What I like most about this course is that all of the modules module 1, 2 and 3 and 4 it gradually increases in terms of the learning curve and the pace is really suits my understanding so that I can easily learn and understand each module and relate back to previous module and use that in the current module and so on. So I would recommend this course to any of my friends who are interested in app development and I hope Chris can continue to make courses great content like this. Thank you.

Video transcript: As much as my parents support me with code, with Chris, my struggles were trying to reach the two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon, at least those hours per day for the coding. And it's really kind of difficult for me because I procrastinate a lot and hopefully, if I'm motivated enough, I pray that I will really, really give my effort. Even at the times that I'm really tired and I don't have the motivation, I try to push myself hard. And another struggle that I have were the terms that Chris was teaching me because especially with the APIs, sometimes it doesn't work and I don't have enough knowledge of Proxy Man. So hopefully the only motivation I have is to put my interest in the apps that I make and even skip the last two of the challenges. So that's why I was struggling because I really cannot understand a lot. For me, this course helped because Chris was trying to make it motivating, despite this course being more difficult than the first one. Networking is no joke. But even though I didn't manage to do the two challenges, it really helped me learn my knowledge, even if it's really very small. What I like most about this course is that his explanations are easy and he encourages me to be patient with myself and to not feel pressure, to not feel anxious, tense, or what not. Chris is a good teacher. He even shows how he's struggling with the code as well. Would you commend it to a friend? Of course I'll recommend it to a friend. He or she has to be patient enough to understand networking. And for me, it may not be beginner friendly for some, but of course, if you continue to push yourself to learn those topics and push yourself to watch those videos, one day you will really be able to understand his terms, His. His words. I his words. By the way, so far Chris has been really doing good. He's really been showing us a lot. And I am proud of Chris for making this course. Despite me not catching up with the challenges, even though I might have done something by skipping the challenges, I am willing to learn more with the final challenge. Especially when this video is coming up or came up before the final challenge, I may be not knowing right on how to put it into words, but despite me having autism, I really like how Chris is really helpful. And I can't say this once and I'll say it over and over again, you're doing a good job, Chris. And I hope that other people who have mental conditions, conditions like me, will be able to be assisted with proper guidance, especially those who don't like school, just like me. And I'm praying that I'll have the motivation in the future for everything that I do, especially with my interests and how I integrate them into the app with my unique ideas, and so are the other people's unique ideas as well.
